It’s official. Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom has made a decision about his future and has left for the Greek club PAOK Athens. The 22-year-old player was unsettled at the club and has been subject to a number of loan spells in the last few years.
Akpom has been one of the most talented young players in the Arsenal youth ranks but he never made it big in the senior stage. So a move out of the club for the player looks to be a good one for all parties involved.
The forward has spent most of the times on loan spells in the past few seasons and a move to PAOK might help him regain his place in the starting eleven. His previous loan spells include clubs like Brentford, Coventry, Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion as he was not able to break into the first eleven at the Emirates.
The 22-year-old is known to have good pace and goal-scoring abilities. He is expected to be a good fit at the Greek outfit and regular outings on the pitch are supposed to do his confidence a world of good.
Arsenal already have a number of good forwards in their senior ranks including the likes of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck. This has refrained Akpom from getting a chance to play up front for the Gunners and it is sure that his future lies somewhere away from the club.

The North London club is looking to eradicate the disappointment of the last few seasons with a new coach at the helm in the form of Unai Emery. Time will tell whether their decision to let Akpom leave will come to bite them back or not.
