Burnley succumbed to a disappointing defeat against the Premier League new boys Fulham at Craven Cottage by 4-2. This marked the first win in the Premier League for the Lilywhites this season but it was heartbreaking for the Clarets after their Europa League defeat midweek.
Fulham opened the scoring via a screamer from new signing Jean Micheal Seri in the 4th minute of the match but Jeff Hendrick equalised in the 10th minute. Aleksandar Mitrovic then sprung into action with goals in the 36th and 38th minute to steal the game away from the Clarets. Sean Dyche’s men responded through James Tarkowski in the 41st minute but Andre Schurrle put all their hopes for a revival to sleep in the 83rd minute with a well taken goal.
