According to RMC Sport, Manchester United are edging closer to bring in Yerry Mina to Old Trafford. The Colombian player has been one of the mainstays for his national team in the FIFA World Cup campaign in Russia and has attracted a lot of attention from a number of clubs in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old defensive ace, who currently plies his trade for the Spanish giants Barcelona, has been rated at €30million (£26.7m), which might not be a real problem for the Red Devils to deal with. The player has only spent six months at Camp Nou since his inclusion in the side last January and has fallen in the pecking order under Ernesto Valverde in the Barcelona ranks.
The Red Devils are in need of a new centre-back and the Colombian defensive star can be the perfect solution to their problems. However, they should be calculative in their approach to bring the player in as his lack of experience of playing in the top leagues might be a set back for them.
Premier League club Everton have also been linked with a move for the player as well but latest reports are indicating towards the fact that Manchester United are set to edge ahead of them in the race to procure Mina’s signature this summer. The asking price for the player might be a turn off for the Merseyside club and that might add to the delight of the Manchester United fans.

The Red Devils are having a quiet summer this time as far as the transfer market is concerned and the addition of the Colombian defensive star might be a big boost for them to perform well next season, However, his inexperience in playing in the Premier League might be the only turn off for the deal to materialise.
