Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that Sheyi Ojo could leave the Merseyside club in the summer and Middlesbrough are one of the interested parties who want to bring him on loan. The Teessiders were interested in signing him even last summer but the winger went on to join Fulham where he played a decent role in their promotion run.
Klopp was quoted as saying,”Here it is a little bit difficult, especially for the offensive players. Ojo played a fantastic pre-season, really good and confident technically, really strong, improved a lot in tactical things and his attitude was great.
He further added,”For me, he is a no-brainer, to be honest, and I think that will happen. It makes sense for him to go on loan. That’s how it is for a few of the others.” One cannot disagree with the German manager here as Liverpool have plenty of options in the attacking third of the pitch and someone like Ojo will find it hard to get into the first team.
Tony Pulis will be looking to add some attacking talent in his repertoire as he looks to make his side qualify for the Premier League. they were in the play off’s last season but lost to Aston Villa in the semifinals by a narrow one-goal margin. the team sometimes lack that creative and offensive threat and someone like Ojo can provide that moment of spark for the Boro.

A move to the Riverside Stadium will benefit everyone involved as at Liverpool, he will be mostly be confined to the bench. The right winger gave a good account of himself for the Cottagers last season as he made 24 appearances for them in all competitions and returned with a tally of 4 goals and two assists. Expect the 21-year-old to come up with better numbers in the upcoming season if he goes on to join Middlesbrough.
