According to Team Talk, Liverpool are in pursuit of Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic, who spectacularly won his team their pre-season match against the Reds, scoring two goals in stunning fashion for them. The reports also say that Jurgen Klopp’s side can use the same trick by which they got Guinean midfielder Naby Keita to sign from RB Leipzig this summer.
Klopp is known to be a great admirer of Pulisic and reports are indicating towards the fact that the German giants might not be able to hold onto their prized possession for long. The USA international reportedly has two years left on his deal and it’s believed Liverpool could land him successfully if they try to bring him in next summer but strike a deal now.
A transfer fee of £62million might see Dortmund being open to discussing a deal if the player does not look interested in extending his stay at the Westfalenstadion beyond 2020, which is the extent of his current contract with the Bundesliga side. German transfer expert Raphael Honigstein is of the opinion that Liverpool should try to strike a deal with Dortmund for securing Pulisic’s services, which would go through in a year’s time.

However, Dortmund is well aware of the fact that the 19-year-old is the most vital cog in their team presently and might be hell-bent on not losing him this summer. On the other hand, if Liverpool can strike a deal for the player this summer, which will see him join the Reds in the next one, they will be having one of the best attacking talents in Europe at their disposal and a possibility to compete on the top level for the next few years.
