The transfer window is in its final lap, and Leeds United are still looking to do some last minute shopping. Currently, they are being linked with a move for George Saville of Millwall. Aston Villa also wants the midfielder. Saville is a box to box midfielder and has been impressive for the Lions since the last year.
The 25-year-old started his footballing career at Chelsea, but he failed to make the cut there. He had various loan spells when he was with the Blues and later moved on to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The West Midlands club then parted ways with him last season, and Millwall got him on a bargain price of £350,000. The Lions are set to make a reasonable profit on their investment after just one year if they decide to sell him.
The Northern Ireland international scored ten goals from midfield last season as Millwall came close to qualifying for the playoff. Saville was one of the key members of his side as he controlled the game well from midfield and popped up with crucial goals now and then.
Saville is a tenacious and robust midfielder who does the nitty gritty job in midfield. Apart from that, having a goal scoring side to his game will be an added advantage if Marcelo Bielsa can bring the midfielder to Elland Road. Last season’s top scorer for United, Kemar Roofe, managed 11 goals in the Championship. Saville got himself 10 playing in a box to box role.

The Whites are off to a great start in the Championship and landing someone like Saville will be a great acquisition for them in the final days of the transfer window. However, they will have to move in quick as Villa are also showing good interest in the player and we might see a bidding war for him.
