Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has informed Paul Pogba that the club won’t sanction his departure this summer. According to various sources in Spain, as reported by the Metro, the Red Devils will not allow the French international to leave the club during this summer transfer window.
It is understood that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has held meetings with Barcelona over a potential transfer before the transfer window comes to a close later this month. Some sources have recently claimed that the Catalans had offered £45m along with the services of Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes in order to convince the Mancunian giants to part ways with Pogba.
It has also been suggested that the French sensation was unhappy with Mourinho’s comments about him after France’s 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign earlier this summer. The Special One stated that the 25-year-old performed better in Russia because he had no distractions with the French national side and ‘hoped’ the midfield talent had a clear understanding of why his performances improved following his inconsistent campaign at Old Trafford.
A recent report in Marca revealed that Pogba is eager to seal a switch to the Nou Camp before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday night but the Reds of Manchester won’t sanction such a move this late in this transfer window. The same report also states that Mourinho has relayed the same information to Pogba’s agent, Raiola.
