Leeds United are the only team who have a 100 percent win record in the Championship this season and next up they travel to Wales to take on Swansea City at the Liberty City stadium. Marcelo Bielsa has transformed this side around in a short space of time, and all is going hunky dory at Elland Road.
However, the Swans are also off to a decent start but, they would be disappointed that Birmingham City have held them to a 0-0 draw. Bielsa’s team, on the other hand, are coming on the back of a 2-0 win against derby rivals Rotherham United. The Whites are squaring up with yet another genuine playoff contenders after facing Stoke City and Derby County in the first two matches. The games are now coming thick and fast, and it would be interesting to see whether the veteran manager would rotate the players as his side is putting in a big shift every time they play.
Team News
Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas are going to be the only absentees as they are yet to recover from their respective injuries. Apart from them, Bielsa has a full squad to choose from at this time.
4-1-4-1 Predicted Leeds United Lineup Vs Swansea City
Defence
Bailey Peacock Farrell has been impressive, and we expect him to start in between the sticks. The Whites might have won all their games so far this season but, they got their first clean sheet of the campaign against Rotherham. So we can say there is still a room for improvement at the back. Liam Cooper is likely going to start at the back and having sat out the game against Rotherham (again), we expect Pontus Jansson to make a comeback in the playing eleven.
Barry Douglas has been outstanding down the left, and he can turn out to be the bargain buy of the summer. He would be expected to start in the left-back role with Luke Ayling starting down the right.
Midfield
Kalvin Phillips will start just in front of the back four, and he will be looking to shield his defence along with launching attacks from the back. Further up the field, we are going with Lewis Baker as Mateusz Klich might be rested for this encounter. If things don’t go right, he can always come off the bench to make an impact. Samuel Saiz will be the other midfielder who would have the creative onus on his shoulders.
Out wide, we are going in with young Jack Harrison as the midweek fixture might be just too early for someone like Pablo Hernandez. Ezgjan Alioski should start on the left flank.
Forward
Patrick Bamford is a viable option to start, but Kemar Roofe’s excellent run of form would be tough for Bielsa to ignore. Given the importance of the match and quality of opponent, we expect the manager to go in with Roofe up top.
