In a bid to win over the players in the dressing room, Maurizio Sarri has relaxed two of Antonio Conte’s rule. He has loosened the restriction on player’s diet and along with that, the Italian has also allowed the team to stay at home before every home fixture at Stamford Bridge. Under Antonio Conte, all the players were made to stay at a hotel in West London before the home encounters.
It was pretty evident that Antonio Conte had lost the dressing room in the latter stages of his stint with Chelsea. Even though he delivered two silverware in two years, he was sacked from the club. Conte had a bust-up with the likes of Diego Costa and David Luiz and both the players came worse off from that altercation as both of them were sidelined throughout the season from the squad. Costa was sold back to Atletico Madrid later.
Even Willian has come up and claimed that he wouldn’t have stayed if the Italian manager had continued his managerial stint at the club and that could be one of the reasons why Sarri is going an extra mile to keep a harmonious environment at the club.
All this already seems to be showing good results as Chelsea are more likely to keep some of their important players in the transfer window. It is certain that Conte wasn’t the most popular man by the time he was at the end stage of his stint with the Blues.
