According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton boss Marco Silva is more than happy with Theo Walcott and has spared some time to appreciate the player’s effort so far this season. The 29-year-old Englishman has looked in sublime form since the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season and has already scored a couple of goals for the Merseyside club.
Everton have not lost a match so far this term but have given up the advantage to see themselves draw matches against Wolves and Bournemouth. Against the Cherries, they went ahead by 2-0 but Eddie Howe’s men came back strongly to end the match at 2-2.
However, it’s Walcott who has stood out with his flaring display to lead the attack alongside Cenk Tosun and Richarlison since the start of the season. The former Arsenal man has looked agile and sharp and his goal-scoring abilities have received huge praise from the Portuguese manager.
After the Bournemouth match, Silva said, “Not just today but he had a very good game in the last game at home as well.”
“He repeated a good game, a fantastic attitude and it is important that he scored a goal and the red card to Bournemouth is on him as well. He started the free kick for the second goal.
“He is doing very well, he is in a good moment. It is our job to keep him at this level.
“I am here to support our players, to develop our players, to do everything to put them playing at the highest level. That is what my goal is.

“They know they have a coach to demand a lot from them and to give support and confidence.
“I am happy with him. I want Theo enjoying his football and he is doing well.”
