As per reports in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa will turn their attention towards Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo in the last few days of the transfer period. Championship clubs can still bring players on loan until 31st August and Steve Bruce is looking to sign Liverpool’s young winger after Yannick Bolaise refused to move down to the Championship.
The 21-year-old was part of the Liverpool team in the preseasons and was impressive whenever he was presented with the opportunities. Jurgen Klopp had earlier commented,”Ojo played a fantastic pre-season, really good and confident technically anyway, really strong, improved a lot in tactical things and his attitude was great. For me, he is a no-brainer, to be honest, and I think that will happen(Loan move). It makes sense for him to go on loan.”
Villa had reportedly missed out on the likes of Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson who joined other rival clubs in the Championship and Bruce will be keen to add an attacking outlet in the wide region in the next few days.
The winger managed to find the back of the net four times in 24 appearances last campaign and as Klopp said, it makes sense for him to go on loan as he will struggle to get any sort of game time in the first team given the plethora of options the Merseyside club has. Ojo has been with the Reds since he was 14 and has slowly gone up the ladder towards the senior team.

Villa had to tread carefully in the transfer market as they were under a lot of financial constraints. Ojo is knwon for his blistering pace and trickery and he often manages to find the right pass in the final third as well. A loan move would benefit everyone involved and the 21-year-old can get some good game time on the pitch which will help in his overall development.
