Arsenal are constantly linked with a move for Steven N’zonzi but it seems likely that the midfielder will stay at Sevilla. However, latest reports suggest that Arsenal can still make a move for him if they sell Aaron Ramsey in the ongoing transfer window. The Welshman has entered in the final year of his contract and is yet to sign a long-term deal at the Emirates. Clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and even Barcelona are linked with a move for him.
The Gunners have already made some good acquisitions in the transfer market. They have added Lucas Torreira to add more mettle and stability to midfield. Emery has also spent good money to land the likes of Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathopoulos. So until and unless there is a departure from the club, Arsenal are unlikely to go after Nzonzi.
One of the reasons why he is strongly linked is because he can be reunited with his former Sevilla manager Unai Emery. It is believed that the players has his release clause set at £35m.
The Wolrd Cup winner has an experience of playing in the English division as he was part of Blackburn Rovers for three years. Arsenal struggled with an option for a midfield enforcer as Granit Xhaka was unable to cut the mustard in that role. However, the signing of Torreira will certainly ease some pressure off the other midfielders.

Letting Ramsey go to land Nzonzi can backfire as the Welshman also adds a lot of creative and goal scoring threat. Ramsey also happens to be two years younger and letting go of another one of club favourites after Jack Wilshere, will certainly not go down well with the fans. The 27-year-old is already settled and performing well in London for the past few years and after spending on Uruguayan international Torrerira, it seems unlikely that Arsenal will land Nzonzi in the next few days.
