According to The Mirror, Italian side Torino have rejected an approach from French club Nice for their Senegalese striker M’Baye Niang. This action is set to work as a big boost for Arsenal, who are reportedly in the race to secure the services of the player this summer.
The 23-year-old was a vital cog for Senegal at the World Cup, and Arsenal have been interested in the past to bring him to London. His move to Torino was made permanent last summer, but from the look of things, it seems that the player could be on the move again with the Gunners looking to bag him finally.
As per Tutto Mercato, the Italian club is not willing to let the player leave on a loan deal as they are set to demand a sum worth around £12.5m for his services from his suitor. That is the cause behind the club rejecting an approach from Nice, hoping that Arsenal will be the one to pay his price and lure him away to the Emirates stadium.
It seems that Unai Emery, the new Arsenal manager, has plans of his own and is looking to bring every player possible to the club, hoping to turn his plans into reality. However, it might not be a wise move for the Spanish manager to add a player like Niang to his lineup who has no prior experience of playing in the Premier League.
