Manchester United are a big club which attract marquee signings every transfer window. Welsh Wizard Gareth Bale has been tipped to sign for the Red Devils as his future at Real Madrid remains in the dark.
With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane from Madrid, Bale could yet again find himself getting a place on the team sheet in match days. His future is still in the air, however, as United look to lure the Welshman away from the Santiago Bernabeu to the Theater of Dreams.
Bale had a mixed season last campaign as he found himself on the bench for a majority of their games and failed to cement a place in Zidane’s team. He, however, proved his doubters wrong with a superb performance in the Champions League final which saw him score two goals in the span of half an hour as Real went on to clinch their 13th title in the prestigious tournament.
The first of his two goals underlined his class as an acrobatic volley sent shock waves around the world. On his day, Bale has the potential to be the best player on the planet and can torment any opposition standing in his way. Manchester United will do well to acquire a player with his capabilities as they await the perfect moment to make a formal approach for the pacey winger.
As per reports, Jonathan Barnett, Bale’s agent will meet Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to discuss whether the player has a future at the club or if Bale will have to once again find himself sitting on the sidelines cheering the team on.
Considering Jose Mourinho will stick to his roots and deploy a 4-2-3-1 approach, Bale would be expected to slot in on the right flank. His stamina and pace would help him blend in well with Jose’s expectations from his players and Bale would demand to see himself in the starting 11.
United are preparing to combat their noisy neighbors for a spot at the top of the League table as they strive to knock City off the helm. Adding Bale to a team which already boasts the likes of Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and David De Gea would give the opposition a sense of insecurity and in return, give United a boost of confidence, something the team lack at the moment.

A lot depends on how Jose guides his team and whether he will resort to negative criticism yet again to get his players performing. It goes without saying that the addition of a player like Gareth Bale will surely boost their chances to do good in the next season.
