Liverpool will be looking to achieve big things in the upcoming season. Jurgen Klopp will be aware that he needs to deliver a trophy. The Reds have lost three finals under Klopp and that will certainly be one of the causes of concern for the Reds faithful and board. However, they are playing some exceptional football and maybe they can achieve some silverware in the upcoming season.
To achieve that, the Reds have already made inroads in the transfer market by signing Fabinho. They have recently completed the signing of former Chelsea u-23 player Isaac Christie-Davies. The midfielder spent time on trial at Liverpool in March and now he has confirmed his move to Anfield.
He is likely to play in Liverpool’s u-23 side. It will be interesting to see whether he will be able to break into the first team. Davies is a left midfielder but can play in a more central role as well. The 20-year-old has impressed at the youth level and this can turn out to be a smart signing from the Merseyside outfit.
The Reds signed him for free after his contract expired with Chelsea. The midfielder has been with The Blues since his u-11 days and he started out as a box to box midfielder. His potential can be judged from the fact that when he was an u-15 player for them, he was inducted into Chelsea’s u-18 team and went on to become a regular starter for them. He managed 12 goals in the 2014/15 campaign at the u-18 level.
The young star played role in Chelsea’s victory in Youth Fa Cup in 2015 and 2016. He was also part of the u-19 side which won the UEFA Youth league in 2016. The youngster has got some valuable experience of playing in Premier League 2 last season.
His contract ran out this summer and thus joined Liverpool on a free transfer. He has represented England at u-16 and u-17 levels but opted to play for Wales later on and has represented them at the u-21 level.

Davies will have to bide his time in the reserve side before he gets anywhere close to first team opportunities. The Reds have a plethora of options in midfield currently and one doesn’t see the youngster break into the first team in the first year itself. However, slowly he can go on to establish himself at the academy and maybe then he could be called up by Klopp at the senior level.
