Daniel Amartey was once termed the best young midfielder in the Danish League but the 23-year-old now finds himself in a battle to stay with Leicester City. Leicestershire Live now reports that the Foxes have received enquiries over the purchase of the Ghana international. Former Premier League residents Stoke City, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion are all keen to take Amartey away from the King Power Stadium in order to provide regular game time to the promising talent.
He joined Leicester City in the January transfer window of 2016 but has failed to cement a place in the team. With the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Adrien Silva, Andy King and Vicente Iborra battling it out for a place on the team, Amartey will be wise to rejuvenate his career elsewhere as lack of game time will only hamper his development further into a commanding midfield presence.
A frequent face in the Leicester City line up during the 2016-2017 season, Amartey is versatile in nature. His strengths lie as a defensive midfielder where he uses his physicality and speed to shield the defence from any dangers that head for the goal. He can also be deployed as a centre-back due to his ability to win the ball in the air and his ability to strategically position himself in areas in front of goal that might allow the opposition to capitalize from. His speed allows him to make a good showing when called to play at right back for the team.
Among his potential suitors, Swansea City will benefit with the signing of Amartey as they need to sure up their defensive woes. Conceding 56 goals and losing 21 games during an entire season is not something Swansea manager Graham Potter would like to witness again from the team and would do well to bring in defensive recruitments to enable a more consistent performance at the back.
If they can sure up the defence, then it eases the pressure off of the shoulders of the attacking players. The forwards then have the confidence to play freely up front without the burden of knowing that they have to carry the team away from defeat and up the league table. The Swans need to be cohesive and display unity come the start of the new EFL Championship season if they are to pull themselves out of the very pit they buried themselves in.

On the other hand, a player like Amartey is considered as a surplus to requirements at Leicester City. So a move away from the King Power Stadium will benefit him as a player as he will get more chances of making it into the starting eleven. If they let him leave, it might turn out to be an astute decision for all parties involved.
