Fulham were deserving winners of the playoff final as they went past Aston Villa. They lost a golden chance to go through directly after faltering on the final day of the season. However, it didn’t come to bite them back as Slavisa Jokanovic was able to gather his men for another push towards the Premier League which they secured in a hard-earned way.
The real test for the Cottagers will start in the upcoming season as they look to continue their rise in English football. They already made a massive signing in Jean Michael Seri who was linked with other heavyweight clubs. Recently they secured another move as they snapped up Besiktas’ goalkeeper Fabri for £5m. This happens to be their third signing of the summer as Jokanovic prepares to embark on his stint in the English top flight.
Signing a goalkeeper was a necessity for the Cottagers as they had allowed David Button to join Brighton And Hove Albion, which left the club with just one goalkeeper in Marcus Bettinelli. With Fabri coming in, some of Jokanovic’s headache will be sorted. The official announcement was made by the club after the player successfully completed his medical at Motspur Park.
Fabri himself had confirmed the move earlier this week as he said,”As you know the Premier League is a major league and one I am interested in joining. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing but there is a verbal agreement with Fulham. I want to thank Besiktas for my time here.”
