After working really hard last season, Fulham are back in the Premier League in the next campaign. However, they are in desperate need to bolster their squad this summer, in order to compete in the English top flight next season. This has seen Slavisa Jokanovic scout for a number of exciting stars but one name doing the rounds now is Alassane Plea.
Born and brought up in Lille, the 25-year old joined Lyon’s academy back in 2009 and in just three years, he broke into the senior side, making 33 Ligue 1 appearances in his debut season as a senior player at the club.
Since then, he has been a regular in the first team, and took his game to impressive levels last season, registering 21 goals and six assists in all competitions. He had made two Champions League starts last season, and troubled some of the finest defences, showing that he is ready to make a mark at the highest stage.
A centre-forward by trait, Plea is a versatile attacker, who loves to have the ball at his feet. He can lead that attack for his side, acting as a target man and holding on to the ball before finding his teammates in space in the final third. He is also strong in the air and can dribble past opponents with ease and is hard to mark on one-on-one situations.
The 25-year old is a hard worker, who wants to be involved in every attack for his side and his energy is what makes him more attractive. His ability to play on the wing or as a striker makes him an attractive option for several clubs in England.
A story from The Daily Mail claims that Jokanovic is determined that Plea is the right man to help the Cottagers in the Premier League next season but they are not the only club interested in his services. The likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Everton are all ready to meet his valuation this summer.
It is understood that German giants Borussia Monchengladbach have already made a £16m offer for the Nice man but reports suggest that the French club value their asset closer to £26m and that the player prefers a move to England.

Tottenham Hotspur are also determined to land him but Jokanovic can offer more game time than most other clubs mentioned and if he can pool the finances required to fund this deal, Plea could be a sensational addition to the squad at Craven Cottage.
