Fulham pulled off a massive coup by signing Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri who was also linked to heavyweight clubs like Chelsea and Barcelona. However, Slavisa Jokanovic isn’t looking to stop as he is now looking to bring in Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukranian has been pushing hard to get regular game time at the Etihad, however, he struggled to get a look into the team regularly given the superstar players City possess in their squad. Even when he has got a chance, he played in the left back spot instead of his preferred central midfield position.
The Cottagers will be aware that staying in the Premier League will be a big test of their resolve after they secured their promotion by winning the playoffs. Along with the Lilywhites, Wolverhampton Wanderers are also said to be interested in the young Ukranian international and it will be interesting to see which one of the promoted clubs will get their man.
The player is valued at £16m and it is likely that there will be a bidding war between the two clubs. He made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Citizens last season and it looks highly unlikely that he will get close to first team action even in the upcoming campaign.
At Fulham, the Ukranian starlet will most likely get a chance to play in the middle of the park and him and Jean Michael Seri along with Tom Cairney can form a formidable partnership. Zinchenko is technically good on the ball and has an eye for a defence-splitting pass. He has decent pace and dribbling skills which was one of the reasons why he was tried in the left back spot.
At City, he is competing for a place with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva and Ilkay Gundogan, so moving away from Etihad at this point in time will certainly be a right decision from his career’s point of view.

Zinchenko has represented Ukraine 17 times already at the mere age of 21 and is touted to be one of the biggest talents to come out of his country in recent times. Signing him will be a massive coup for Jokanovic as he has a lot of unfulfilled potential and maybe in the next few years, he can turn out to be a gem of a signing. However, with Wolves lurking around the corner to sign him, the Cottagers will have to move in quick to get their target.
