Everton are lining up an offer to sign Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha this summer. According to recent reports, the Toffees are interested in securing the services of the Ivory Coast winger during this summer transfer period. It is understood that the new Everton boss Marco Silva is quite eager to land the Palace sensation this summer as he looks to boost his Everton squad ahead of the new season.
Zaha had previously failed to cut the mustard atOld Trafford while playing for Manchester United but he has had a change in fortunes since his move to Selhurst Park. The 25-year-old speedster has been brilliant for the Eagles during the course of last season and has put in a number of match-winning displays which has helped Palace avoid relegation. The Ivory Coast wide man had scored 9 goals and created 5 assists in 29 appearances for Roy Hodgson’s side in the English top-flight.
His magnificent contributions have not gone unnoticed as the Toffees are now keen to acquire Zaha’s services in this post-season. Some sources have recently claimed that Marco Silva is desperate to add the Palace winger to his ranks so that the Ivorian can spearhead the Everton attack in the upcoming campaign. It has also been suggested that the Eagles are unwilling to part ways with their prized asset and are fighting hard to tie Zaha up on a new deal.
The Blues of Merseyside had an underwhelming season last term when they only managed to attain an 8th placed finish in the league. Marco Silva’s side needs some injection of quality in this ongoing window if they are to progress and claim a European place next term.
The potential acquisition of Zaha will undoubtedly bolster Silva’s attacking options at Goodison Park. Everton have an array of attacking talents which include Cenk Tosun, Yannick Bolasie, Oumar Niasse, Theo Walcott and Dominic Calvert-Lewin competing for a place in Silva’s starting XI. The addition of Zaha will add more competition for places within the Toffees squad and improve their team significantly next season.

The Ivorian talent is quite versatile and can operate on either flank or as a centre-forward up top which makes him a perfect fit for the Merseyside club. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Zaha and whether Everton are successful in convincing him to make a switch to Goodison Park this summer.
