According to latest reports, Chelsea have turned down a £50m bid for their Brazilian winger from Barcelona. The Spanish giants see Willian as a big prospect and they believe that he can add another dimension to their side. Willian is currently in Russia representing his national team Brazil but the 29-year-old has struggled to get going so far.
Chelsea had a dismal season as they finished 5th and missed out on the coveted Champions League spot and they are also set to part ways with Antonio Conte. The club currently has a lot going on and they cannot afford to lose some of their established members of the squad. Eden Hazard is constantly being linked with a move away from the club and if Willian departs, the club will lack options in the attacking third of the pitch.
A £50m offer for a 29-year-old would have surely tempted the Blues but it seems like they are going to stick with him for another season. Barcelona dominated their domestic competitions as they wrapped up the Copa Del Rey and La Liga titles comfortably last season, however, they will be aware that they need to win the Champions League if they are going to be called as the best team and Ernesto Valverde will now have to look at other alternatives for Willian.
We look at 3 possible replacements the Blaugrana outfit can go after.
Angel Di Maria
The Argentine international had a decent season with Paris Saint Germain as he managed 21 goals and 12 assists. He has even been linked with a move to Barcelona a few months back. Ever since the signing of Neymar, Di Maria has been out of the limelight in Ligue 1 and maybe he will be willing to make a move back to La Liga.
Juan Cuadrado
The Colombian international can also be a good bet for the Catalonian outfit as he has a good amount of experience for his club and country. He will certainly add more pace and directness to Barcelona’s attack and can be a handful for the La Liga holders down the right wing.

Iago Aspas
The Spanish forward can also be a good man to have as he has plenty of experience in the La Liga and has been doing well for Celta Vigo over the past few years. He managed 22 goals in the league last season and his versatility will be his biggest asset as he can play up front in a striker’s role or operate down the right wing.
