Wilfried Zaha has come a long way since making his professional debut with current club Crystal Palace in 2010. A short and rather unsuccessful stint at Manchester United saw the player loaned out again before finalizing a permanent move back to Palace in 2015.
Since then, Zaha has worked hard and improved considerably well-enough to now be valued by the club at £70m. Borussia Dortmund and league rivals Everton are said to be interested in signing the winger. Both clubs, however, might be persuaded to look elsewhere for a replacement as the price tag on Wilfried Zaha is too heavy for someone who has not reached that level of professionalism as of yet.
Zaha has stated his happiness at remaining with the Eagles and Palace have used this as an added advantage to hold on to an undoubtedly important member of their squad. He found his name on the score sheet 9 times and is slowly getting into the groove of the Premier League.
Dortmund’s interest in Zaha has started to grow as the German club are looking to offload their Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko. West Ham United has completed a move to bring Yarmolenko to the London Stadium in a deal worth to be around £17.5m. Dortmund would have to generate more funds if they are to be successful in matching Crystal Palace’s asking price so the deal for Yarmolenko might still rise higher than the value it currently stands at.
If the Germans do land Zaha, he would suit their style of play perfectly and would not take time to adjust within the club. The Die Schwarzgelben already have a host of big-name players within their ranks so Zaha would have to set up his game quite drastically if he is to challenge and keep his place amongst their starting 11. The Bundesliga is not as physically demanding as the Premier League and Zaha will do well to avoid facing injury risk.
Everton would be a step up compared to the likes of Crystal Palace and Zaha would not have any issues in adjusting to the Merseyside setup. He now has a fair idea of how the Premier League works and would do well in a Toffees shirt. Everton have young blood coming through their ranks and Zaha might find it easier to link up with the likes of Theo Walcott, Cenk Tosun, Yannick Bolasie and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Zaha must think carefully before making any decisions which would impact his career negatively. For now, he should focus on regaining fitness before the start of next season and probably stay back for one more season at South London before making a move.
