Eden Hazard would be an ideal replacement as he has all the attributes required to be successful and win over the hearts of the Camp Nou faithful. Barcelona have a habit of picking up one major trophy a season and Hazard needs to add titles to his name if he is to be remembered for his work on the football pitch. He has won 5 major titles with Chelsea but the London club have failed to provide him with a Champions League winners medal.
European glory is every footballer’s dream while growing up and Barcelona can provide Hazard with a better chance of lifting the trophy than Chelsea.
No disrespect meant but the Blues still have a long way to go if they are to challenge consistently and regularly for Europe’s biggest prize on offer. The Belgian ace will be desperate to lift the trophy and is understood to want to fulfil that dream while wearing a Blue Shirt. If the club do not get their act together in working towards another successful Champions League triumph, Hazard’s patience might run dry and he could opt for a move away from West London.
Chelsea, for now, must look to secure the future of their star-man at any given cost. Players like Eden Hazard do not come by often, so the Blues would do well in keeping the Belgian happy. He is key to the way Chelsea set themselves up during games and on his day, can put any team to the sword, single-handedly.
His understanding with Willian and Giroud gives the supporters something to be thankful about as they will love to sit and watch the master class performance Hazard and the Pensioners are capable of putting on. Hazard and French sensation Kante are the most vital players in the squad right now and a departure for either one or both would feel like a 1000 steps in the wrong directions for Chelsea.
