Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard looks set to be the only Hazard brother who was capable of tying down a starting 11 spot in the team. Thorgan Hazard had already departed the club sealing a permanent move away to Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2015.
It is now time for younger sibling Kylian Hazard to follow in the footsteps of Thorgan and bid adieu to the reigning FA Cup Champions. The Dutch team VVV Venlo has made the news of Hazard’s departure official with the club stating that the attacking midfielder will undergo a 10 day trial at the club.
Kylian is an attacking midfielder who is capable of filling in the slots on either right or left wing. Agile on the ball and quick on his feet, the Belgian considers his right foot to be more reliable when shooting at goal. He resembles the same running style as that of his elder brother Eden but lacks the ability to read the game. His proneness to injury did little to help his cause in making a name for himself at Chelsea.
VVV Venlo finished at 15th in the Eredivisie last season avoiding a place in the relegation zone by a mere 4 points. Had they finished a spot lower in the table, the club would have been thrown into the uncertain zone of relegation play-offs. They lost 14 out of a possible 34 games while winning 7 and drawing 13. They scored 35 goals and conceded 54 as they battled dearly to survive the relegation drop.
Manager Maurice Steijn has already begun his quest for improving the squad and the opportunity to secure the services of Kylian Hazard should not be overlooked. If they are to better themselves next season, a player who can score goals as well as set up goals for his team will be a priority.
Kylian Hazard, who was part of the Chelsea Under 23 and Under 21 team setups, failed to make a lasting impact on the field of play. A move away from Stamford bridge will benefit Hazard substantially. Young players must grab every second handed out to them when being given the chance to play for the team, in order to build self-confidence in their capabilities. Chelsea were denying Hazard exactly that. He has a lot of uncredited talent and a move to VVV Venlo would benefit him dearly.

His performance on loan will be a matter of interest for the Blues as it might pave the way for him to become a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge in a few years time.
