Some sources are now claiming that Leeds United could be the likely destination for the Brentford sensation, who has settled into English football well. He has put in a number of eye-catching displays at Griffin Park during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed by other clubs.
The 27-year-old is quite versatile and can operate on either flank which makes him a perfect fit for the Peacocks. The Dutchman is quite direct with his runs and is fearless while taking on defenders, something that the current Leeds team are lacking. Hence, the move makes sense as he is exactly the kind of player who can thrive under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road if given the opportunity to showcase his talents at the West Yorkshire club.
Jozefzoon had made 58 appearances in the English Championship, scoring 8 goals while grabbing 8 assists so far. The Brentford star also has a wealth of experience in the Dutch Eredivisie and has represented his nation at the youth level.
The Whites had another underwhelming campaign last season when they could only conjure up a 13th placed finish in the league. Bielsa will need to make some clever acquisitions during the summer transfer window if his players are to compete for a promotion place next season. The potential acquisition of Jozefzoon will undoubtedly bolster Bielsa’s attacking options at Elland Road. The 27-year-old talent can light up the second tier of English football with his dazzling displays which is why the Peacocks should go all out to recruit him in this post-season.
The West Yorkshire side has some promising wingers such as Pablo Hernandez, Samuel Sáiz, Ezgjan Alioski, Hadi Sacko and Stuart Dallas competing for a starting berth in Bielsa’s first XI. The addition of Jozefzoon will improve their side significantly and add more competition for places within the Leeds squad.

At 27, the Dutchman still has a few years left in him to play at a high level which the Peacocks could look to utilise in the next few seasons. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Jozefzoon and whether he ends up moving to Elland Road before the start of the new season.
