Arsenal continues to exploit this transfer market as they look to strengthen their team further. Manager Unai Emery is preparing his team well for the start of the season as Arsenal look to challenge on all fronts come August.
Rumours suggesting the North London club are looking to strengthen their attacking options have surfaced, as they weigh up the possibility of luring Croatian striker Ante Rebic to the Emirates Stadium. Rebic is currently on duty with his national team as they look to lift the World Cup for the first time in the nation’s history.
Arsenal are not the only team looking at signing Rebic as Manchester United, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur are all keeping close tabs on the future of the Eintracht Frankfurt striker. Rebic has spent the past four seasons away from his parent club Fiorentina as he struggled to impress the Italian club in assuring them to put their faith in his capabilities.
He made 8 appearances for the Viola but found the back of the net just twice. Unable to keep a place on the team, he opted for loan moves away from the club. He currently plays in the Bundesliga for Frankfurt.
In Rebic, Arsenal will get a player who is also capable of shrugging off defenders due to his physique and who also has good speed in his arsenal. He can hold the ball up well which allows the players behind him to move into more threatening positions in front of the goal. He links up play well and is reliable from the penalty spot. These qualities are an added advantage when one plays in the Premier League.
Arsenal have Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Welbeck as their strikers and the addition of Ante Rebic would provide good squad depth to the team. The Premier League is vigorous and challenges its players on a weekly basis. Fatigue and mental discomfort do come into play so player rotations are key to keeping the players fresh throughout the year. Rebic would also challenge Arsenal’s current front men to step up their game if they are to retain a place on the team.

The Croatian international is definitely a team player and he would fit well into the playing system Arsenal are renowned for. As a 24-year-old, there is plenty of space to improve and grow as a player and joining the Gunners will provide Rebic with that opportunity.
