Arsenal are looking to make a move for Bayern Munich wide man Kingsley Coman this summer. According to recent reports, the Gunners are ready to make a £44m offer for the French speedster during this summer transfer period. It is understood that the North London side are still looking to strengthen their squad under Unai Emery with the transfer deadline day fast approaching.
Emery has already signed five players so far in this window and in a recent interview, he refused to rule out the possibility of signing a few more players. The Spanish manager was quoted to have said, “Normally, in my career the big clubs don’t close the [door] or the moment to sign a new player,”
“Today, we are OK. Maybe we can bring in one if there’s a very good possibility for them to help us, but the club has done a great job of signing new players and I am happy.”
“At the moment, I think the squad is complete. We will only sign another player if there is an opportunity to bring in that one player, or two players. We will only sign a player in the next month if he’s a big opportunity.”
Coman had put in a number of outstanding displays for the Bavarian outfit during the course of the last campaign which has not gone unnoticed by the North London club. He has made a total of 63 appearances in the German top-flight, scoring 9 goals while grabbing 11 assists so far in his career.
The 22-year-old has 15 international caps for the French national team and has one international goal to his name. Coman is exactly the kind of player who can thrive under the guidance of Emery if given the opportunity to ply his trade at the Emirates Stadium.
The London giants had a disheartening season last term when they only managed to finish in the 6th spot of the English top tier table. Emery needs to stamp his authority and bring in some more quality players in order to build a strong enough squad capable of challenging for top honours in the next campaign.
The addition of Coman will undoubtedly bolster Emery’s attacking options at the Emirates. For now, Arsenal have the likes of Alex Iwobi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck to rely upon to provide some creativity on the flanks for their team. The potential acquisition of Coman will improve their team significantly and add more competition for places within the Gunners squad.

At 22, the French sensation has a lot of time to improve his game and fulfil his incredible potential under Emery in the coming years. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Coman and whether he ends up plying his trade in North London before the start of the new season.
