Arsenal are looking for a new beginning under Unai Emery after Arsene Wenger parted ways with the club last season. Emery has been in the hot seat since he has taken over as he needs to decide the future of quite a few players. Earlier, he showcased that he will be ruthless in his approach as he allowed Jack Wilshere to part ways with the club after failing to agree on a contract with him.
Another one of Arsenal’s midfielder’s future looks in doubt as Aaron Ramsey has admitted that his future at the Emirates looks uncertain. He is set to enter the final year of his contract and the talks between the two parties are ongoing. He has been one of the mainstays in the Arsenal midfield alongside Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere in the recent times and it will be interesting to see whether he follows Ozil to extend his stay at the club or Wilshere to ply his trade somewhere else.
Before the Spanish tactician took over the top job at the club, there were strong reports that Emery sees the Welsh international as one of the most important players and some were stating that he wants to build the Gunners squad around him. Given such news, these latest developments will come as a surprise for many as the talks between the agent and club has been going on for quite a while now.
The Spanish manager will be aware that he will need to deliver a top-four finish in the upcoming season as they try to challenge the likes of Manchester City in the Premier League. The 27-year-old midfielder was a crucial player for Wenger last season as he contributed with 11 goals and 12 assists in 32 games. Those are definitely some good numbers given the fact that he plays in a central role.
Ramsey is an impressive midfielder as he does the nitty gritty job well along with providing attacking and creative outlet. Most of his goals came from the fact that he made those smart late runs into the box which is often difficult for defenders to mark.

Extending the Welshman’s stay at the club should be a no-brainer for the Arsenal hierarchy as they have already lost an able midfielder in Jack Wilshere. Letting him go away for free next season will be disastrous and a move like that will definitely not go down well with the fans as well.
