Yes, it has happened. The inevitable has happened. Real Madrid would have been hoping that they will only let Cristiano Ronaldo go at the far end of his career maybe to Major League Soccer and the way the Portuguese was going, it never looked like coming. Out of the 9 seasons, he spent at Santiago Bernabeu, he managed to score 50 plus goals in 8 of those. He won everything there is to be won at the club level and individually as well. Now he will be plying his trade for Juventus in the upcoming season.
Juventus can now be considered as masters of a coup as they have made some smart signings in the last few years. Ronaldo is 33 and many will be susceptible to pay £99.2m for him but given his performances, this can very much be a good addition to their squad. Real Madrid bought Ronaldo from Manchester United for £80m and after playing out nine years of his career at the Spanish capital, it’s staggering to see that he fetched a decent profit for the Los Blancos.
The club could easily be in a haywire after the loss of a player of Ronaldo’s caliber but we expect the Galacticos to come out all guns blazing in the transfer market. They have had relatively silent transfer windows in the past few seasons but this summer we can now expect some records to tumble. With Ronaldo off to the Italian giants, we look at three replacements which the club can go after.
Neymar
Let’s get the elephant out of the room by bringing his name first. The Brazilian made his big-money move to Paris Saint Germain but all is not merry at the French Club. The club is also set to sell some players to comply with Financial Fair play Rule and we might very well see the former Barcelona man switch his allegiance to their arch-rivals. PSG signed Neymar with great hope that he will be able to deliver that missing Champions League title to the French giants, however, they failed as they lost out to Real Madrid last season in the round of 16.
Harry Kane
The Tottenham Hotspur man should be right up there in Florentino Perez’s list as the Englishman has been scoring goals for fun in the Premier League. Ronaldo played as a front man in the last few years for Real Madrid and Kane could definitely be the answer to his goals which Madrid are going to miss.

Robert Lewandowski
The Polish striker has been linked with Real Madrid before and the move might just happen now that Ronaldo has departed the club. The club will miss Ronaldo’s goal-scoring threat the most as they have decent creators in Isco, Asensio and Luka Modric. So we feel that going for an out and out goal scorer will be the right way to go for the Galacticos.
P.s- This is just a suggestive list and we believe there is no one born yet to replace a guy like Ronaldo but Madrid will at least have to try. That is all they can do now.
