West Bromwich Albion wide man Matt Phillips could be on his way out of the club this summer amidst speculation linking him with a whole lot of clubs in recent weeks. According to recent reports, a number of Championship clubs are hoping to secure the services of the Baggies forward during this summer transfer period.
Phillips had put in a number of outstanding performances for the West Midlands club during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed by other clubs. The 27-year-old had featured in 34 matches for the Baggies, scoring 3 goals while grabbing 3 assists in all competitions.
His departure could leave the Baggies short of options up top ahead of the new season. Hence, they need to bring in an able replacement who can fill his shoes at the Hawthorns. With Phillips’ future at West Brom uncertain, let’s take a look at three replacements for Darren Moore to consider in this post-season.
Ross McCormack
If the West Midlands outfit are looking to recruit someone who can be an immediate solution, they can definitely consider making an offer for the services of this 31-year-old Scottish striker. The Championship sensation has recently had a loan spell at A-League’s Melbourne City and came back to Aston Villa in January.
McCormack has put in some brilliant performances for the Australian outfit and had scored 14 goals in 19 games during the last edition of the A-League. The Villa outcast also has a lot of experience in English and Scottish football which makes him a perfect candidate to take up the goal-scoring duties at the Hawthorns next term.
Óscar Estupiñán
The 21-year-old prospect had put in some impressive performances for Vitória Guimarães SC during the course of the last campaign. The Colombian talent had registered 11 goals and provided 7 assists in 33 matches for the Portuguese side last season. Moore can definitely bolster his attacking options by making a move for the South American wonderkid in the near future. Just like Phillips, he can operate in multiple positions across the frontline which makes him a perfect fit for the Baggies.

Thierry Ambrose
The Dutch Eredivisie talent has been in a rich vein of form for NAC Breda last season and is exactly the kind of player who could thrive under the guidance of Darren Moore at the Hawthorns. The French wide man has made 31 appearances for Breda in the last campaign, finding the back of the net 10 times while earning 6 assists in all competitions. At the tender age of 21, Ambrose has incredible potential to be developed into a future world-beater in European football.
