Unless they can match the heroics of Leicester City’s famous Premier League triumph during the 2015-2016 season, Everton along with new manager Marco Silva will have to prioritize a Europa League qualification berth as well as strong showings in their pursuit for a domestic cup title.
Despite having significant managerial uncertainty last season, Everton did well to focus on placing themselves high up the table and saw the season draw to a close as they finished 8th in the League standings. With the likes of the so-called ‘Big 6’ battling it out for the Premier League title and the remaining European spots, Everton along with the remaining teams will have to settle for the remaining vacant positions to be filled out by whoever has the best showings during next season’s highly anticipated campaign. If reports are to be believed then Everton could look to sign Andre Carrillo to strengthen their squad.
He is primarily deployed as a winger, however, his versatility allows him to fill in the role of a second striker. Carrillo has immense pace and uses this attribute well when he runs down the flanks and causes opposition defenders to scurry back to prevent conceding a goal. He is technically very gifted and uses it to bemuse defenders before spotting a teammate and whipping in a cross.
Marco Silva will have to assist the Peru international when it comes to finding the net as he needs to improve on his finishing. Goals help teams win games and Carrillo will have to inculcate that aspect of the game into his play.
Everton would be a good destination for the winger who spent last season on loan at Watford. He had made a total of 30 appearances for the Hornets and got his name registered on the scoresheet twice. A possible move to Everton will help his development as an all rounded player as Everton would present new challenges and responsibilities to him.
Marco Silva prefers to use a 4-2-3-1 approach to his games but deploys a 4-1-4-1 outlook while defending without the ball. Carrillo can be deployed anywhere behind the centre-forward as he can do a respectable job for the team, playing as their second striker.

The Premier League has been able to see glimpses of the Peruvian international during his stint at Watford and opposition teams would have already taken up the chance of studying his gameplay. The second season in the league always brings about ‘make it or break it’ conditions and now is the time for Andre Carrillo to show the world that he can, in fact, make it at the highest level.
