Leeds United have received a huge boost ahead of the new season as their centre-forward Tyler Roberts has successfully returned to training following a long spell out on the sidelines. The 19-year-old joined the Peacocks from West Bromwich Albion during the January transfer window earlier this year but is yet to make an appearance for his new employers.
The Welsh striker sustained a cracked shin bone which has kept him out of action at Elland Road. However, both the player and the club have posted on social media claiming that Roberts is on the road of a comeback and is currently training in order to return to full fitness for the start of the new campaign.

Roberts was highly regarded at the Hawthorns so only time will tell whether he can showcase his talents for Leeds next season as the West Yorkshire outfit attempts to clinch a promotion back to the English top tier. The Welsh youngster needs to impress Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa in order to earn a regular first-team place under the Argentine manager.
The Peacocks starlet has played in the West Brom youth ranks and has had loan spells at Oxford United, Shrewsbury Town and Walsall before his move to Elland Road. He has incredible potential and could be the player to bang in the goals for Bielsa’s side next season.
There is no doubt about Roberts’ potential but whether he can overcome his recent injury concerns and come back firing on all cylinders remains to be seen. At 19, the Welshman still has a lot of time to grow and develop his game so that he can cut the mustard at the highest level.
For now, he needs to keep his head down and carry on with his rehabilitation so that he is available for selection when the season kicks off for the Peacocks. Roberts is yet to prove himself at the top level so it might take some time for him to adapt his game to suit Bielsa’s bizarre style of playing football.

However, the return of Roberts will be a big boost for the Peacocks as they would need to rely on his contributions to have a successful campaign next term. Only time will tell what lies ahead in the future of Roberts and whether his time at Elland Road turns out to be a success.
