Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa is in the limelight as he scored two brilliant goals in the World Cup against Iceland and helped his team to gather some crucial points ahead of their last encounter against Argentina. Musa, however, has struggled to get regular game time at the King Power Stadium and has constantly been linked with a move away in the summer transfer window.
The striker was sent on loan to his former club CSKA Moscow in January where he made 10 appearances in the league and managed a haul of 6 goals and 3 assists. Musa was signed by the Foxes in 2016 for a then club record fee of £16.6m. The striker has struggled for a regular game time and has had to compete for places with the likes of Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki. He has managed just 33 appearances for them over the years and has managed 5 goals.
Reportedly, Premier League newest entrants Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the race to sign the 25 year old Nigerian and the striker is also wanted by other European heavyweights as well. Galatasaray are currently considered as the frontrunners to sign the 25-year-old and Nuno Santo might just have to move in quick if he wants to land his target. The reports suggest that the Turkish giants have made Musa their transfer priority and are in talks with his agent. However, they are yet to agree on a deal for the player.
Wolves recently parted ways with Benik Afobe for a quick profit and now they are once again in the market to sign a new striker. Given Wolves’ financial resurgence, they might be able to beat their rivals for the signature of the striker and Nuno Santo will definitely have a good prospect on his hand.
The West Midlands Club are continuing their rise in English football and they are looking to take on the challenges of the Premier League head on. They will be in need of a proven goalscorer to lead their side and Musa will certainly be a good option to have.

Leicester are likely to let Musa leave as he has been surplus to requirements in the last two years. Wolves will probably have to step up their pursuit if they want to land their target. The striker will certainly add good pace up front and will be willing to make those darting runs in between the defence lines. His finishing skills are also top notch and he will certainly go on to improve the Wolves squad if he decides to make a move to the Molineux Stadium.
