After their relegation to the Championship, Stoke City players are being circled by Premier League opportunists and their relatively new signing, Badou Ndiaye is being linked with a move to Premier League’s newest entrants Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ndiaye joined the Potters in the January transfer window from Galatasaray and was impressive in his stint last season.
He managed 13 appearances in the Premier League and looked like he has already been playing in the English top division. The 27-year-old has all the abilities to flourish in the middle of the park and he is currently in Russia representing his national side Senegal.
Apart from Wolves, Crystal Palace have also shown an interest in the player and it will be an intriguing battle between the two. Ndiaye came into prominence while playing for Osmanlispor in the Turkish league. He was an important player for them and later he went on to join Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray in August 2017 where he stayed for half a season as he was sold to Stoke City in the January transfer window.
It seems like his Stint at Bet 365 stadium is also going to come to an end after half a season as Potters won’t be able to ward off interest from Premier League clubs if there is a substantial offer for the player. It’s being reported that the West Midlands club has already made a bid of £22m and the Potters can earn a quick profit as they had signed him a few months back for £14m.
Wolves were brilliant in their run-up towards Premier League qualification as they ran away with the league with relative ease. However, Nuno Santo should be aware that the top flight will provide a much sterner test for him and he needs to bring in more reinforcements to his squad to continue their rise in English football.
Ndiaye can be a good ball playing midfielder for Wolves and his work rate and tenacity makes a huge difference for his side on the pitch. He even has a creative side to his game and can make some defence-splitting passes and that is one of the reasons why he can play in a more attacking midfielder role as well.

The offer will certainly be tempting for Gary Rowett and he will have a decision to make soon. It is yet not clear whether Wolves will make a move for Alfred Ndiaye in the transfer market who played at the Molineux last season on loan. Now it seems that maybe they can go on to bring his fellow countrymen Badou Ndiaye to partner Ruben Neves in the middle of the park for the upcoming season.
