Wolves have started their summer transfer business and as per reports, they have already submitted a bid for the Fenerbahce midfielder Josef De Souza. The Brazilian is one of the most highly rated players in the Turkish Super Lig and has been linked with clubs like West Bromwich Albion and Watford.
The 29-year-old player has been a part of the Turkish outfit since 2015 and has been a regular starter for them. The midfield ace has played for an array of clubs before making it to one of the most prestigious clubs in European football, which include the likes of Vasco Da Gama, FC Porto, Gremio and Sao Paulo. He has played a total of 41 matches for Fenerbahce in the last term in all competitions and has scored 4 goals while assisting 2 more.
Josef De Souza, who is also known as Josef, has a rich experience of playing in a number of leagues throughout his career and that experience can come handy for him if he comes to England to play for any of the above-mentioned clubs. He is a gritty warhorse and can come handy for the Wolves if they can land him this summer.
A veteran of 342 matches, Josef can be a handful in the midfield for Nuno Santo’s side alongside the likes of Ruben Neves and Romain Saiss. He will not only give them a world of stability in the heart of the pitch but will also ensure that lion’s share of the possession stays with his side.
Wolves were the undisputed champions of the English second division as they made their way to the top under the tutelage of Nuno Espirito Santo with a total tally of 99 points in their bag and a win rate of 65% to stun their opponents.
However, the next season is going to be a new challenge for the high flying Wolves as they will come head to head with some of England’s finest team and to vie against them, they will need players like Josef who have rich experience in the top flight over a significant period of time. However, the Brazilian has never played in the Premier League before and that might go against him if he makes a move to the Molineux this summer.
