Tottenham Hotspur, the new superpower of English football, are looking to make a mark in Europe in the next season. They had a good run in the Champions League in the last season as well and even got the better of the eventual champions Real Madrid during their group stage match. Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to repeat the results of the last season, if not better them in the next one and is looking to strengthen his side, even more, this summer.
As per reports, Spurs are looking to bring in the Croatian forward Ante Rebic to beef up their offence. The player plies his trade with Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, having been sent on loan from Fiorentina in the summer of 2016. The 24-year-old made a mark for Eintracht as he scored 9 goals and dished out 3 assists for his teammates in 28 matches and has attracted the eyes of the Argentine gaffer of the North London club.
Spurs have England captain Harry Kane at their forefront and he has been their main man in the last few seasons. The other striker, Fernando Llorente, is used as a sporadic option but he is edging closer to the end of his career.
This has made Spurs look for a good enough backup to play the second fiddle to Kane and it is expected that the Croatian ace can fit into the role perfectly.
Rebic, who is a part of the Croatian squad playing in the FIFA World Cup in Russia, has the experience of 146 appearances on his side, in which he has netted the ball 31 times. However, at Tottenham, he might not see much of the action as he will be playing as a backup to Harry Kane, which might be a detriment to his career growth.
His current club, Eintracht Frankfurt, are looking to tie the player down on a permanent basis and it would be a much better move for the 24-year-old as he will have the chance to make more appearances for the German side than he will get at the North London club, in case he agrees to a move to the club in the summer transfer window.

Rebic has got versatility on his side and his ability to play in a number of positions in the offence makes him an asset for any team he will play for. However, he is better off playing as a striker as he can score from a variety of ranges but Rebic can be a good acquisition for Spurs to be used as an ideal backup for their talisman Harry Kane.
