Jose Mourinho has assembled a pretty impressive squad at Old Trafford but the frailties they showed last season will keep him occupied this transfer window. The Portuguese gaffer is set to spend big yet again this summer and has already made a couple of additions to his squad this summer.
But Manchester United continues to be linked with some superstars like Gareth Bale as he aims to get the glory days back to the club and one name they are now linked with is Kylian Mbappe.
The French teenager has quickly risen to prominence after two impressive seasons in Ligue 1 and now stands as one of the most exciting teenagers in the game at the moment. He is a part of the French squad in Russia for the World Cup and is going to be a crucial component for their chances.
He amassed 21 goals and 16 assists in all competitions for the French giants last season, joining them on loan just last summer. His impressive outings for the club do not seem enough for PSG to hold on to him as reports now suggest that he could be up for sale this summer.
PSG reportedly have slapped a price tag of £240m as they are now forced to sell, to meet the FFP requirements. And it is understood that they want to keep hold of Neymar and could sell Mbappe at the right price. The same story claims that French champions are interested in Anthony Martial and that the price for Mbappe could drop to below £170m if Martial is offered as a part of the deal.
Martial himself is unsettled at Old Trafford due to lack of game time and might be eventually sold, so should United take up this chance to sign Mbappe?
A gifted footballer with maturity beyond his age, Mbappe is already a match winner and plays with confidence and flair unheard of, for his age. He can lead the attack as a no.9 and is also effective on the wing with his ability to find the back of the net consistently, while also creating chances, thanks to his close control, passing range and vision that make him a complete player.
He will only get better and is destined to be a future legend of the game and is a genuine upgrade on every option currently at United. Romelu Lukaku could continue to lead the line while Alexis Sanchez and Mbappe could play on either wing. The French ace can also replace Lukaku as a striker and is a player United should definitely look to sign.

Spending big on Mbappe might reduce their chances of improving on other areas of the squad but this deal will not only be a statement but will also solve their attacking woes for years to come and is a risk worth taking.
