Since taking over Arsene Wenger as the manager at Arsenal, Unai Emery has been a busy man, trying hard to add some quality to the squad at Emirates. He has already signed a couple of established stars this summer but does not seem finished for the summer.
He is still looking at players who can have an impact on the first team next season and one such player they are now linked with is Rhian Brewster.
The 18-year old started his youth career with Chelsea but joined the Liverpool academy, back in 2014. He showed progress by the game at Liverpool and managed to earn himself a place in the England U17 squad for the World Cup last year in India. He helped The Three Lions to win the U17 World Cup, also winning the Golden Boot and the Bronze Ball in that tournament.
A gifted footballer with great technique, vision and maturity beyond his age, Brewster managed five goals and seven assists in the Premier League 2 last season and was also effective for the Liverpool U18 side, standing as the most impressive youngster last season at the club.
He is not too far away from the first team at Anfield and reports suggest that Jurgen Klopp is ready to promote him and is happy to use him as a backup to Robert Firmino next season. This will also mean that Liverpool need not spend on another striker this summer.
These assurances seemed enough for Brewster to pen his first professional contract with Liverpool but it is now understood that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in his services.
Brewster wants promises of first team game time, as he should, to continue his progress and any team that wants to sign him will have to do the same. So it is hard to see Arsenal win the race for his signature.
The Gunners have Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to lead the attacking line while Danny Welbeck can play that role as well. Brewster will be below the English international in the pecking order and will struggle for game-time yet again.
So a move to Arsenal does not seem too effective for the 18-year old at the moment. But even at Liverpool, he is below the likes of Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke, as backups for Firmino in the first team so Brewster might be tempted to move back to London and continue his progress.

He is not a stark necessity at the moment for Emery so chances of the Liverpool teenager joining Arsenal are quite thin at the moment. But do you think The Gunners should go all in for him?
