Leicester City have been handed a major boost as their transfer target Stefano Sturaro, is set to be sold by Juventus as they try and raise funds to get their other possible targets. Sturraro has been linked with the Foxes and a host of other Premier League clubs as well and it is expected that the Serie A holders will let him leave for a price of €20m.
However, it won’t be that straightforward for the former Premier League winners as they are set to be challenged by Newcastle United and West Ham United for the signature of the Italian midfielder. The 25-year-old has been at the club since 2014 but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular. He managed just 12 appearances in the league last term and with every passing day, it seems like he is edging closer to an exit from the Turin outfit.
The Foxes will be looking to make some quality additions in the upcoming transfer market as they look to improve on their last season standings. They stuttered throughout the season and finished 9th. One expected much better from them and the onus will be on Claude Puel to reinvigorate this side for the upcoming season.
The versatile midfielder has represented Italy at various youth levels. He has represented his senior team 4 times as well and was touted for big things in the future. However, his footballing career hasn’t kicked off as expected and a move to a different cub and country might just once again kick-start his career.
He is 25 right now and should be in his prime, however, to achieve that he needs to be playing week in week out and that is something the Foxes can provide him at the King Power Stadium. Sturaro can play as a right back and in a much deeper role in midfield but he usually thrives in the central midfield position. The likes of Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Claudio Marchisio are all ahead of him in the pecking order to start in the middle of the park and so it is no surprise that Juventus are willing to part ways with Sturaro.

The Foxes and especially their manager will be under pressure from the beginning of the new season as there were rumours earlier of Claude Puel been sacked. The signing of Sturaro will certainly bring a lot of stability for them in the middle of the park and the Italian can go on to form a good partnership with Wilfred Ndidi and his versatility will certainly be a big asset for his manager.
