Leeds United are interested in signing Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent. The 21-year-old winger from Oldham spent the last season on loan in two different clubs. His first loan was sanctioned on the deadline day of the summer transfer window last year when he went to German outfit SC Freiburg.
His loan spell expired in January this year and he came back to Liverpool. The player then went to Bristol City on loan and returned at the end of last month. The player was sent out by the Reds under a contract which involved Bristol giving him a minimum number of starts at the club. However, the player failed to impress and was subsequently left on the bench more often than not.
Kent’s failure to play meant that the Reds had Bristol City on the stands for failing to execute the understanding the two clubs had. It resulted in Jurgen Klopp’s team charging a fine and Bristol ended up paying £500,000 for giving Kent just six starts.
It is now being reported that Leeds are interested in securing his signature from Liverpool this summer. The Reds have an exciting team and under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, the Kops reached the finals of the UEFA Champions League last season.
The Reds have played some thrilling attacking football under Klopp and have entertained fans worldwide. They have scored goals galore and the players have taken to Klopp’s Gegenpressing football with great enthusiasm.
They have a world class attack in place and their front three have been terrifying, to say the least. Sadio Mane, Roberto Mane and Egypt’s cult hero Mo Salah are the three men involved who have terrorized defenders in England and Europe.
Salah has been on a whole different level scoring goals left, right and centre for the Reds. It is tough to see anybody break into the first team to bench the front three, let alone a young kid from Oldham. Liverpool could also buy more players in the summer in the attack which will make it even harder for Kent to make a first-team appearance.
