Uruguay international Abel Hernandez took to Instagram recently to confirm his departure from Hull City after four years at the club. He had a mixed time with the Tigers but the entire chapter has now come to an end with the player ready to move on.
He thanked the club, the fans and everybody else and is now ready for a new chapter in his life. The player is now subject to a free transfer and he is said to be attracting interest from multiple English clubs including the likes of Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Leeds United and Newcastle United.
He spent a majority of the recently concluded season on the sidelines due to an injury but the player was a class act every time he took to the pitch for the Tigers. He started only eight games for them but ended up scoring 8 goals, an extremely impressive stat for any player. His record at Hull City will make him a luring target for any team as he has scored 28 goals in 49 appearances for the Tigers despite all his injury woes.
His injury streak saw him lose his spot in the Uruguay national team for the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, this will definitely not see him lose any suitors. The forward has struggled with injury ever since his first day in England when he joined Hull City and has had to endure a hard time, spending the majority of his playing days on the sidelines with multiple injuries.
If his priority is to play in the Premier League, then there is definitely no competition for Newcastle as Villa, Birmingham and Leeds are all teams from a lower division. However, if the chance does fall to a team from Sky Bet Championship, Leeds will have a battle on their hands to get a hold of Hernandez.
The Whites had a tough time last season when they started off well under Thomas Christiansen but lost their track midway. Paul Heckingbottom was placed in charge after the sacking of Christiansen but he hardly fared better as Leeds United finished far away from a playoff spot.

They have now lost their number one striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga who has returned to Germany after his loan spell at Elland road expired. They are now in need of a number nine and Hernandez could be a perfect fit for the Whites. However, the player also has a recurring injury crisis and hence the Whites should maybe think their move through before approaching Hernandez.
