Leeds United, an admirable English force of the 90s, suffered an administrative oversight in past decade which eventually led to demotions and the Whites are now placed in the mid-table of Championship football. A sparkling season under Garry Monk uplifted the spirit at Elland Road, but his surprise resignation led to yet another underwhelming campaign despite owner Andrea Radrizzani’s best efforts of appointing Monk’s successor capable of keeping up the good work in West Yorkshire.
However, neither Thomas Christiansen nor Paul Heckingbottom succeeded as Leeds boss but the latest appointment of iconic manager Marcelo Bielsa has regrouped the depleted supporters who have every right to dream again of their long-pending Premier League return.
Bielsa, charismatic former Argentina and Chile chief is adored as the pioneer of modern football and the esteemed managers of Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino’s stature have admitted his influence on their successful managerial regime.
The 62-year-old Argentine, therefore, is expected to dominate the summer market and the Peacocks are tipped to be engaged in high-profile transfer activity with Premier League heavyweights.
I get very, very, very few transfer rumours dropping my way these days (well done: LUFC), but I’ve heard Foden & Foyth are there for the club to say yes to. I assume that means they’re offered and i just requires club consent, but by Jesus what a couple of signings they’d be.

If the above tweet from reliable Simon O’Rouke is believed to be true, Leeds are keen on a season-long loan move for Manchester City starlet Phil Foden who was adjudged the Player of the Tournament during U17 Football World Cup held last year in India and guided the Three Lions to claim the title defeating Spain in the tournament final.
The teenager, who turned 18 last month, made five senior league appearances for the Citizens last season, thus, earned the eligibility of earning a Premier League medal with Guardiola’s juggernaut. Foden was handed a prestigious Champions League experience as well and is rated high at Etihad for his enormous talent.
Foden will not only be an exciting signing for the Whites but also offer the young English sensation senior minutes which he is unlikely to attain for the star-studded Citizens anytime soon. The left-footed winger prefers to operate from the right flank but is capable of playing as a midfield attacker as well. He exhibited such adaptability while featuring for club’s U23s and is now ready to replicate the same in senior football.

Bielsa will offer flexibility in formations and his philosophy of implementing an attacking flair needs pacy and youthful resources. The Peacocks got the likes of Kemar Roofe, Hadi Sacko, Ezgjan Alioski and the veteran Pablo Hernandez to occupy wide roles, but El Loco’s trademark 3-3-1-3 setup will offer a place for the starlet due to his flexibility and willingness to emerge as a NxGn superstar of English football.
