Speculations have been hot after Zinedine Zidane stepped away from Real Madrid‘s managerial role and it is yet not clear that who will take the 13-time Champions League winners forward. Zidane ended his stint with the Galacticos on a high as he guided them to yet another Champions League title, making it three in a row.
Many were considering Massimiliano Allegri as the prime candidate for the top job at Santiago Bernabeu but the latest reports suggest that the Juventus manager is reluctant to take up the big job. With one candidate down, Florentino Perez will have to look for other options who can replace the French tactician.
Whoever it is, it won’t be an easy job for the incoming manager as the future of quite a few players are uncertain and there is going to be few departures in the summer. Along with a smooth rebuilding, the manager will also have to deliver trophies from the offset and that could be intimidating for any manager across Europe.
Along with all that, the manager will have to handle the egos of all the star players as we have seen a brilliant tactician like Rafael Benitez being sacked as he failed to keep the dressing room together.
They will be in need of an experienced manager and we look at 3 possible options they can go after to replace Zidane.
Antonio Conte
Some Madrid fans might be susceptible to this move as we have often seen the Italian being involved in ego clashes with some of his players. But that shouldn’t take away the tactical genius which the former Juventus manager will bring to the table. Yes, he might have had a poor season with Chelsea but one can clearly say the board and the players let him down as they finished a dismal 5th last season.
Arsene Wenger
The veteran Frenchman might have stepped down from Arsenal‘s top job but he has not indicated that he is retiring from football management. Maybe a final leg with the biggest football club in the world could be the way the footballing gods want him to depart. He has a wealth of experience and had done great work to take the game of football forward. He will certainly demand a level of respect from the dressing room and could be a good choice for Los Blancos.

Mauricio Pochettino
The Argentine mastermind might have recently signed a new long-term contract to stay at Tottenham Hotspur but that could be Spurs’ way to have a good amount of compensation if Real Madrid manages to get him. He can be a long-term option for the Los Blancos but in recent public outings, Pochettino has clearly indicated that he might turn down the top job at the Spanish capital.
