Celtic midfielder Eboue Kouassi is being targeted by French outfit Nice and it is being reported that their new manager Patrick Vieira is keen on bringing the defensive midfielder to France. Apart from them, there are some other French sides as well who have shown interest in the 20-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder.
The Hoops were dominant yet again in the League as they wrapped up another treble in the last season. Brendan Rodgers has made this team into a well-oiled unit and there seems to be no stopping them as of now.
Meanwhile, Kouassi found it tough to get game time at Celtic Park as he managed just 12 appearances in all competitions last term. It is likely that Rodgers will offload him either on a loan move or on a permanent basis and one feels that the youngster doesn’t have much of a future in Scotland.
Celtic signed the midfielder with a lot of hope for a fee of £3m from Russian outfit Krasnodar. He was signed up for a four-year contract but is now set to leave after spending just 18 months at Parkhead.
He has made 17 appearances in all competitions in his last one and a half year and it is clear that he has fallen below the pecking order under Brendan Rodgers. However, one cannot blame the manager as Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham had a phenomenal season and the youngster failed to break into the side in the middle of the park.
Stuart Armstrong was also chosen above him and it is certain now that the 20-year-old has no future at Celtic Park. The team has performed phenomenally in the last two odd years and Rodgers isn’t likely to change a lot of things around. The youngster rose to prominence in the Russian League but has found it tough to adjust to life in Scotland.

Even though Rodgers doesn’t rate him highly, there are quite a few suitors who are prepared to move in for this midfielder. Apart from the Ligue 1 outfit, clubs from Germany and Belgium are keen on having the services of the Cote d’Ivoire midfielder. He has been called up by his national squad but is yet to make a senior team appearance for them. However, he is still young and can go on to establish himself for his club and country. Though it seems likely that it isn’t going to happen at Parkhead and we can see him part ways with the club in the summer given the plethora of options which Rodgers has in midfield.
