Leicester City might sell their out of favour Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa in the summer. Musa was signed by the Foxes in the 2016 summer for a then club record fee of £16.6m after he had an impressive spell with Russian side CSKA Moscow. He was signed with a lot of gung-ho and a lot was expected from him at the King Power’s Stadium, but the forward has disappointed since his move to England.
He is currently on loan to his former club CSKA Moscow. The loan move was sanctioned in January and he is set to stay until the end of 2017-18 season. It is expected that in next transfer window, the Foxes will look for suitors and it seems like the newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers are in line to bring Musa to the Molineux stadium.
Apart from them, there are other European clubs who are vying for him but given Wolves’ current financial resurgence, Musa can easily be lured at the West Midlands club. The striker has managed just five goals in his one and a half year spell at Leicester city but it seems that Nuno Santo is not bothered by such stats.
Wolves manager will know that the Premier League will not be an easy nut to crack as they were runaway winners in the Championship. They will be in need of reinforcements as they are looking to establish themselves as a regular Premier league club for years to come. Musa has failed to shine with Leicester but that has been largely down to his reduced playing time and the fact that he hardly got to play in his preferred position which is up front.
Leicester had the services of Jamie Vardy and they ended up utilising Musa down the wings and that didn’t help the Nigerian in settling down at the new club. However, he can show his mettle at Wolves if he is given a good run of games and a start in his regular position.

The Nigerian forward has scored six goals in 15 games for Russian outfit since his January loan move and Nuno Santo might look to bring him in as they might lose the services of Benik Afobe. Musa has great pace and his finishing skills are up to the mark and he could be a great option for the Wolves manager if he decides to go for him in the transfer market.
