It is not easy being Neymar. Definitely not. Ever since his days at Santos, the Brazilian was tipped to be the next big thing in football and reports and controversy has followed him ever since.
The Brazilian moved to Barcelona back in 2013 after flirting with a host of clubs in Europe. He played a crucial part in forming the trident of MSN which conquered Europe and were practically impossible to stop.
Things were moving along just perfectly for the gifted Brazilian until he decided to part ways with Barcelona and join French giants Paris Saint Germain. His move not only broke the world transfer record but it was more than twice what had been paid for any player until then.
It has only magnified the scrutiny of the player and the media have never disappointed to come up with stories about him every day of the week. Anything he has said, done or even shown has been twisted and turned into stories of great relevance.
The latest story to fill the papers is of a possible transfer of Neymar to Manchester City. City have blossomed this season under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard arrived at Etihad a couple of years back and began building his team.
It took him a season to settle down but he has done so in spectacular fashion. The City team has broken multiple records this season on their way to the league title and have simply outplayed every opponent. They have benefited from having a tactical mastermind like Pep in charge.
His tactical genius, discipline and attention to detail have improved players on an individual level. This has definitely made him a luring prospect to work with and every player on this planet will definitely want to learn from him. Neymar is no exception and he mentioned how he wants to work with the Spaniard. “I’ve always wanted to work with Guardiola. He’s different. I arrived (in Barcelona) a year after he left. I really want to work with him.”

The media has now taken it upon them to invent stories of how Neymar is possibly hinting at a transfer to Manchester City. It is being reported that Neymar might move to Etihad where he will get a chance to work with Guardiola. Such a transfer appears unlikely as it would cost more than a fortune to bring Neymar in and Guardiola would definitely not want to spend his entire transfer budget and more to bring in one player when his team is already stacked with brilliant players and genuine match winners.
