Leeds United are keeping tabs on Cheltenham Town forward Mohamed Eisa this summer. According to recent reports, the Peacocks are monitoring his progress at the Whaddon Road ahead of a potential move in the summer. Eisa has lit up the League Two this season with some dazzling displays for the Robins during the course of this campaign which has not gone unnoticed.
Some sources are now claiming that scouts from Leeds United and a whole host of other English clubs were present to watch Eisa in action last Saturday against Crewe Alexandra. It is believed that the League Two side will demand a fee in excess of £1m for their prized asset. The 23-year-old centre-forward signed for the Robins from Greenwich Borough last summer and has enjoyed a successful first year at Whaddon Road so far.
The Sudanese striker has featured in 50 matches for Cheltenham Town this season, scoring 25 goals while creating 9 assists in all competitions. However, he is yet to prove his worth at the top level which indicates that it could be a huge gamble for the Peacocks if they are serious about pulling off such a move.
The West Yorkshire outfit ended the Championship season with a total tally of 60 points after 46 league fixtures. The Peacocks are in dire need of some quality additions in this upcoming summer transfer period if they are to challenge for a promotion place next season.
The potential acquisition of Eisa will definitely bolster Heckingbottom’s attacking options ahead of the new campaign. Leeds United have the likes of Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Kemar Roofe, Tyler Roberts and Caleb Ekuban vying for a place in Heckingbottom’s starting eleven. The addition of Eisa will undoubtedly improve their squad significantly and add more competition for places in the Peacocks team.

At 23, the Sudanese forward still has his peak years ahead of him which Leeds could look to capitalise on, in the coming years. Eisa is extremely versatile and can operate in a number of different positions across the frontline. The Robins star can be deployed on either flank or as a centre-forward up top which makes him a perfect fit for the Peacocks. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Eisa and whether he ends up making a switch to Elland Road in search of more challenging adventures next summer.
