West Brom have been linked with a move for out of favour Everton striker David Henen. The Belgian forward hasn’t yet featured for the Toffees in the English top flight in his three-year stint. According to reports, he had a good relationship with Ronald Koeman and Roberto Martinez but has fallen out of favour with their current manager Sam Allardyce.
West Brom is in dire straits and are expected to go down to the second tier. Their season started off poorly and they sacked their manager Tony Pulis. They brought in Alan Pardew but he also wasn’t able to inspire his men as he managed just one win in his stint at the Hawthorns. David Moore has taken over until the end of the season and has shown some good signs as they defeated Manchester United away and drew with Liverpool. However, these results have come too late for the Baggies.
West Brom will be looking to bolster their squad and will look to get back in the English Top flight straight away. However, they can lose out on some of their key players as they would like to continue playing at the top level. They are looking for the Belgian forward to provide some much-needed depth in the squad but it won’t be easy for the Baggies to lure him in. According to reports, Henen will like to move to Belgium, France or Holland so that he could be closer to his family as he is feeling homesick currently in England.
West Brom’s problem this season has been pretty much all around the pitch as they have failed to keep it tight at the back as well as score goals. In their previous seasons, the West Midlands club were hard to break down and always were defensively organised. However, they have been nowhere close to that this season and as a result, they are destined to go down.
Henen can play in various positions upfront but he prefers playing down the left wing. He is known for his burst of pace and likes taking on defenders. He has gone on to represent Belgium at various youth level and is being touted as Belgium international in the future.

However, he hasn’t been playing regular football at the top level and needs to move to a team where he will get regular playing time and West Brom could be that team but he will have to settle for playing in the Championship if he chooses that option.
