Recent reports claim that Everton are in a three-way battle with Chelsea and Newcastle United for Middlesbrough winger, Adama Traore. The Toffees will have to fight off rivalling interests from Antonio Conte’s side who are currently leading the £30m chase.
Traore has proven to be a terrific player in the EFL Championship and might just be eager to have another snipe at the English top-flight. He had previously played with Aston Villa and Boro when both clubs were plying their trade in the Premier League.
Traore has been one of the revelations this season and has proved to be a kingpin in helping his side reach the playoffs. He has netted the ball on 5 occasions this season while also setting his teammates up 12 times.
Traore has taken on the wing position with a lot of vigour and enthusiasm. Blessed with mind-boggling pace, the Spaniard has left defenders on his taillights while on the ball from the wide areas. He is a relentless runner with a V-8 engine for lungs.
His technical skills have also been well polished over the years, mostly from the highly esteemed La Masia academy of Barcelona. The 22-year-old is a graduate of the Catalonian club’s youth system and only made the switch to Aston Villa in the summer of 2015.
He penned down a 5-year deal with the Villans and made his debut eight days later against Crystal Palace.
However, the Claret and Blues were not able to provide him with enough game time, which at the time was very important to Traore. The Spaniard wanted to continue his aggressive development and just a season later opted for a move out of the club.
Aitor Karanka was quick to pick up his compatriot and give him an important role in the Boro squad. And now the player seems to flourish even more under the newly signed head coach, Tony Pulis.
Traore has also been capped 18 times for the Spanish youth sides while scoring the goal just once. He is a tough opponent to match up against. Standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall, Traore has a bullish nature to his game which is almost perfectly suited for the Premier League.
Everton have plans of making a niche for themselves among the top-six clubs next campaign and are prepared to match their investment capabilities.

Farhad Moshiri could certainly go toe-to-toe with the likes of Chelsea and other interested parties to sign one of the EFL Championship’s hottest talents in the form of Traore. It is definitely going to be a good investment for the Toffees given the Spanish wideman could very well help them to achieve their long-desired goal of finishing in the top six with his stellar performance.
