Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Hibernian FC star John McGinn. The central midfielder is 23 year old and has been a star in Scotland this season. He is now reportedly on the radar of multiple clubs with big boys like Rangers FC and Celtic FC keen on bringing him in this summer.
The Scottish midfielder is a versatile player capable of playing not only in central midfield but also as a winger should the need arise. He signed with Hibernian back in 2015 on a four-year contract. He has another year left on his contract and Hibs could look to sell him off this year instead of losing him for free next term.
The player is a crucial cog in the Hibs side, however, having made close to 43 appearances this season. He has scored 6 goals and created 8 more for them this season and the numbers are excellent once we remember that he plays primarily from defensive midfield.
The left-footed midfielder has a tall build and is a robust player. He also has a hard build, is a tough tackler and knows the Scottish game inside out. He will definitely be a good buy for any team which plays in Scotland.
This is where it might get interesting for Celtic. The Hoops have Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham and Callum McGregor as the primary midfield players. McGregor is only 24 years old and has an excellent build as well.
He is another hard-battling player and has scored 7 goals and created 3 assists in 36 games. Ntcham is the youngster in the team who has come a long way. He is physically strong, athletic and is fast on the ball. The player has played in 29 matches scoring 5 goals and created 2 assists this season.
Finally, there is the veteran Scott Brown. He is 32 years old and has played 34 games this season. Even though he has not scored any goal but he is a brilliant presence in the middle of the park and adds a lot of weight to their team.

However, with Brown getting older, Celtic will need reinforcement. Ntcham and McGregor are still young and will definitely need more backups to improve the team next season. This is where the signing of McGinn can become handy as the player will definitely improve the squad size and depth.
